Treston, a global supplier of ergonomic industrial workstations, is home to many employees who have built lifelong careers within the organization. One of them is Jessica Urioste, whose connection to the company began long before her first day on the payroll.

Jessica’s dad started working for IAC in the 1980s, and she spent much of her childhood inside those walls, and eventually went on to build a 24-year career of her own. Today she serves as Channel Sales Manager for Treston USA, supporting and nurturing the company’s nationwide network of reps and dealers.

Growing up inside the company

Jessica’s earliest memories of IAC are not of work at all, but of being a kid running around the office.

“When my sister and I were sick or out of school, my dad would set us up in the conference room with movies. We did anything but relax — we played games, wrote all over the whiteboards, built forts, and snuck down the hall to surprise people in their offices.”

She remembers company softball games, river trips with other IAC families, and the kids she met back then — many of whom later became her coworkers. “I love that I’ve known so many of my peers most of my life. We are truly family in that regard.”

Not only did she later work alongside her dad for his last six years before retiring — her sister also worked at IAC during college. “This company really has been part of our family story.”

From envelopes to a lifelong career

Jessica officially joined IAC in the summer of 2001, just after graduating high school. She started part-time helping with mailings and data entry. When Executive Vice President Paula McConnell asked her to come on permanently, she accepted.

Over the years she took on larger roles across sales and marketing — becoming the point person for CRM data, trade show planning, website content updates, marketing emails, and communications with IAC’s reps and dealers. Eventually she became National Sales & Marketing Manager before moving into her current Channel Sales Manager role following the Treston acquisition in 2023.

Leading the channel forward today

In her role today, Jessica is the primary support contact for Treston’s nationwide reps and dealers. She provides high-level product support, runs channel programs and performance reviews, and coordinates with marketing on campaigns and promotions. When partners need information, tools, or guidance, she either delivers it or connects the right people to ensure they are supported.

Her work keeps communication flowing between the field and the company — making her both the glue between Treston and the channel, and a driver of channel growth and engagement.

Mentors, milestones and growth

Among the people who influenced her most, one stands out:

“Hands down, the biggest mentor in my career is Paula McConnell. She took me under her wing with no experience and helped shape me into the woman and worker I am today. She is the smartest woman I know and I’m proud to have worked for her and to call her my friend.”

Jessica has led through major changes as well — including three CRM implementations and transitioning IAC from paper files to digital systems, a shift that made remote work possible when the company later relocated to Arizona.

Keeping the team connected — wherever they are

Back in the office days, big wins were celebrated by ringing a physical bell.  When IAC relocated the office to Arizona, some employees stayed in California and began working remotely. Jessica, determined to maintain that close camaraderie, helped recreate that energy on Teams through a group chat called “The Dream Team.”

The chat serves as their virtual bullpen — good mornings, memes, quick questions, and digital DING posts whenever a sizable order comes in — keeping the same shared excitement alive no matter where people work.

Pride in the culture — and the people who built it

Jessica credits the company’s leadership for the environment that has kept so many employees long-term. “From Don and Paula’s leadership to Greg today, there has always been this feeling that you can talk to them about anything and you will be heard.”

She also takes pride in what Treston delivers to the market — not just the product itself, but the experience behind it.

Whether it be a friendly, knowledgeable sales experience, efficient customer service or our top-quality product, I am proud of the total package we offer our customers.

A career built on support, pride, and people

Treston’s support has made it possible for Jessica to build both a career and a family life she’s proud of. “Treston has a family-first mentality. Whether it’s time off to care for loved ones or a few hours away to see a child’s performance, family comes first.” She was also able to remain in California and work remotely after the relocation. “Being home with my young kids — taking them to school and being present — has been such a gift.”

Two decades later, Jessica is proud of where she started, what she helped build, and how she continues to grow.

Looking back, she believes her younger self would be proud. “A little surprised I’m still here, since most of my friends have had many jobs. But proud of my growth, proud of what I’ve learned, and excited to keep going.”

Her advice to anyone considering a career at Treston is simple:

This is a company you can be proud to work for — the people, the environment, and the final product.
